How we work

HR works in three major sections to help us work effectively in achieving our objectives. They include the Business Partners, Expertise teams and Services:

Business partners 

In HR, we consider ourselves partners to help other functions achieve thier goals and through them the Corporate goals. The role of HR BPs include:

  • Total HR accountability and ownership of HR solutions for their business 
  • Partner with leaders to transform the business by generating insight, identifying needs, translating needs into requirements and implementing solutions 
  • Securing the right climate (e.g. environment/employee relations/industrial relations) 
  • Champion and co-architect of the culture throughout the business  

Expertise teams 

These provide expert knowledge based solutions. They:

  • Design the Company's processes and policies  
  • Provide rapid access to existing solutions, co-develop new solutions with HR BP’s and co-ordinate roll-out / activation plan
  • Serve as the custodian of HR solutions (policy, process, product and information) 
  • Capture, build and share internal and external knowledge 
  • Connection to World class external experts / suppliers / consultants  

Services

This section of HR handles transactional activities. They:

  • Handle and resolve day to day issues including HR solutions implementation, rules and exception management.
  • Serve as Information brokers.
  • Handle transactions including payroll & benefit and administration.
  • Support HR applications i.e. HR technology
  • Maintain performance levels assuring quality of services and products.
