Knorr returns to Unilever

After a five-year wait, Knorr brand returns to Unilever Nigeria from Cadbury.

After a 5 year wait, the Knorr brand finally came home to Unilever Nigeria on 1 December, 2005.

Unilever had bought Bestfoods Company in 2000. However, Unilever Nigeria could not takeover at that time because Cadbury had a contract with Bestfoods to manufacture and sell Knorr in Nigeria until November 2005.

Knorr is growing very fast beyond its heartland of Europe, especially Africa, Latin America and Middle East and Asia. In Nigeria, Knorr is the taste benchmark.

Unilever Nigeria is committed to building on the premium credentials of Knorr. Consequently over the past one year, we have invested in machines and a new savoury hall.

This is to enable us to adequately supply the market and continue to give consumers premium quality cube they have come to associate with Unilever.
